Job summary

Aurecon in New Zealand is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our national Buildings team and provide market-facing technical leadership across electrical design, verification and client delivery.

You’ll lead design direction, verification quality, and client engagement on complex buildings projects, mentoring engineers and shaping work-winning opportunities across healthcare, data centres and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Deep electrical engineering experience in Buildings projects.
• Chartered status strongly preferred and experience supporting verification and producer statements.
• Proven ability to lead or influence work-winning and market-facing activity with clients.
• Ability to mentor engineers and raise team capability across multiple projects.
• Collaborative mindset across disciplines, regions and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design direction across Buildings projects and set technical standards.
• Own verification, QA and producer statement requirements with local market knowledge.
• Act as a senior client-facing technical representative for Aurecon’s electrical capability in NZ.
• Lead market growth through technical strategy and design management and client engagement.
• Support project lifecycle including cost estimation, budgeting, procurement and governance.
• Mentor engineers to build technical depth and leadership within the team.
• Collaborate across Buildings, digital, infrastructure and specialist teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
