Job summary

The Ministry of Education seeks a Senior Education Advisor to work with tumuaki, senior school leaders and Boards of Trustees to strengthen educational performance in schools and kura. You will help ensure high-quality programmes and resources reach sector leaders and communities.

You will be part of the regional team, using evidence and data on student achievement to design and implement school projects that lift outcomes. This role can be based in Kerikeri or Kaitaia in Northland.

Responsibilities

• Work with the tumuaki, senior school leaders and Boards of Trustees to strengthen educational performance in schools and kura.
• Ensure sector leaders have access to the expertise, programmes and resources that support student potential.
• Join the regional team to use evidence and data on student achievement and design and implement school projects to lift outcomes.

As a Senior Education Advisor, you will work directly with our tumuaki, senior school leaders, and Boards of Trustees on strengthening educational performance in schools and kura.

You will ensure that sector leaders and the communities in which they operate have access to the expertise, programmes and resources that will allow our children and young people to reach their full potential.

You will be working as part of the Ministry of Education's regional team, using evidence and data on student achievement, and designing and implementing projects with schools to strengthen educational performance.
