Job summary

Kāinga Ora is seeking a Senior Platform DevOps Engineer to join the ERP Platform team. You will support the ongoing operation of our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environment while contributing to the Technology Modernisation journey and the adoption of Oracle Fusion Cloud.

You will ensure services remain stable, secure, and reliable while shaping the future state of our enterprise platforms. This senior role requires leadership, deep technical expertise, and a commitment to operational

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting and operating enterprise technology platforms with a focus on reliability and uptime.
  • Ability to lead complex engineering initiatives, upgrades and lifecycle management in production environments.

Kāinga Ora is seeking a Senior Platform DevOps Engineer to join our ERP Platform team. In this role, you will be working across the ERP Platform, you will support the ongoing operation of our current Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environment while contributing to Kāinga Ora's Technology Modernisation journey and the adoption of Oracle Fusion Cloud. You will play a key role in ensuring business-critical services remain stable, secure, and reliable while helping shape the future state of our enterprise platforms.

We are looking for an experienced and influential professional who thrives in complex enterprise environments and is passionate about delivering reliable, secure, and high-performing technology platforms. Here’s what you will bring to the role:

  • Experience supporting and operating enterprise technology platforms, with a strong focus on service reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated success leading complex engineering initiatives, including platform upgrades, technology lifecycle management, and the resolution of incidents and problems within production environments
  • Strong understanding of IT service management principles, operational processes, risk management practices, and the disciplines required to maintain secure, stable, and resilient services
  • Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor and develop engineers, influence technical outcomes, and make sound decisions in fast-paced and high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
  • Able to balance operational stability, service improvement initiatives, and delivery commitments while managing competing priorities in complex enterprise environments

This role is ideal for a senior technology professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership capability and a commitment to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
