We are seeking a highly analytical Senior Data Scientist to champion Mathematical Optimization for retail assortment planning and space allocation. This is a high-impact contract role with a premier retail technology client focused on solving complex operational challenges.

ROLE DETAILS

• Position: Senior Data Scientist - Assortment Optimization
• Core Focus: Mathematical optimization for assortment planning, category space, and planogram strategy.
• Technical Stack: Expertise in Python (optimization libraries, scikit-learn), SQL, and advanced Choice Modeling (Logit, Neural Models).
• Experience: Developing optimization/predictive models. Strong analytical backgrounds from Logistics, Finance, or Tech are highly valued.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement optimization models for assortment and space allocation decisions.
• Deliver actionable, data-driven assortment insights from large-scale retail datasets.
• Evaluate predictive models and machine learning algorithms related to product substitution effects.

WHAT'S ON OFFER
