Overview

Our client is looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Platform Engineer, where you will provide technical leadership for large and complex data warehouse initiatives. Your primary responsibilities include supporting, troubleshooting, and managing the organisation's data and analytics platforms, such as Databricks, Power BI, and Data Sharing. You'll collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure these platforms operate efficiently and effectively, meeting uptime and incident resolution targets. Additionally, you will be involved in designing and implementing new data warehouse solutions and continuously improving the platform's service levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for large and complex data warehouse initiatives.
• Support, troubleshoot, and manage the organisation's data and analytics platforms (Databricks, Power BI, Data Sharing).
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure platforms operate efficiently and meet uptime and incident resolution targets.
• Design and implement new data warehouse solutions; continuously improve the platform's service levels.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Platform Engineer or with Data Warehouse
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, SQL Server; analytic reporting tools such as Power BI (and Tableau)
• CI/CD pipelines using AzureDevOps or GitHub actions
• Development skills in Python/PySpark, SQL, and Scala
• Working knowledge of Agile, ITIL, or equivalent methodologies
• Strong technical leadership experience in complex data warehouse projects and vendor management
