Placements24 is seeking a Senior Data Architect for a hybrid role in Queenstown. You will design, build and maintain enterprise data architectures to support advanced analytics and BI initiatives, shaping data strategy and ensuring quality, accessibility and security.

You'll work with data scientists, analysts and stakeholders to deliver scalable data pipelines, data models and governance practices, applying Kimball, Inmon or Data Vault techniques while mentoring junior colleagues and guiding

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data architecture, data warehousing, or data engineering.
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale data solutions.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques (e.g., Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).

About the Role

Our client, a prominent analytics firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to join their team. This hybrid role, based in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, will focus on designing, building, and maintaining the organization's data architecture to support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives. You will be instrumental in shaping the data strategy, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and security across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and big data technologies. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions that drive informed decision‑making. This is a key role for someone passionate about data and its potential to transform businesses. You will be responsible for creating scalable and efficient data pipelines and ensuring the integrity of our client's data assets.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
