Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a Data & AI Engineering Lead in Auckland to bridge business strategy and technical delivery. You will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, own the data architecture landscape, and drive real-time analytics, AI-enabled automation, and modern cloud platforms.

You will mentor engineers, define architectural patterns, and partner with stakeholders to turn complex commercial goals into scalable solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Apache Kafka, and Confluent

Qualifications

• Senior data engineering leader with line management experience.
• Experience delivering real-time analytics and scalable cloud architectures.
• Hands-on with modern data platforms and AI-enabled automation.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage and coach a multidisciplinary data/AI engineering team.
• Own and execute the Data & AI engineering roadmap and target-state cloud architecture.
• Design high-level data architectures using Fabric, lakehouse patterns, and streaming technologies.
