Job summary

DEFEND is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect in Auckland to lead enterprise security engagements end-to-end, spanning on-premises and multi-cloud environments. You will shape strategic roadmaps, deliver high-level and detailed designs, and mentor DEFEND colleagues while guiding customers through complex security transformations.

You will act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into secure, scalable solutions, and oversee security governance, monitoring, and data protection

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity architecture for enterprise customers.
• Strong customer-facing consulting and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for architecture designs and exec briefings.
• Outcomes-focused with secure, scalable solutions.
• Experience securing hybrid/multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of enterprise security solutions across on-prem, cloud, and multi-cloud.
• Steer security engagements from requirements through governance to delivery.
• Act as trusted advisor, provide strategic cybersecurity guidance to customers and DEFEND teams.
• Design and optimise security capabilities across cloud, SaaS, hybrid, and enterprise environments.
• Mentor and share knowledge to elevate DEFEND's architecture practices.
