Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years experience in successful dining establishments & kitchen roles.
• Senior role with ability to lead a kitchen team of up to 12 people.
• Must be fluent in English (written, spoken, reading).

Responsibilities

• Inspects and selects ingredients for cooking.
• Measures, cleans, chops, blends, seasons, heats and cools food.
• Monitors cooking processes for proper cooking and presentation.
• Coordinates, supervises and collaborates with kitchen staff in food preparation.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Decides on stock quality, storage and plating standards.
• Monitors inventory of food supplies and equipment.
• Leads in development of new recipes and menu items.
• Learn and use online accountability software such as Loaded Reports & Chomp.
• Maintains high morale in the workplace in this senior role.
• Leads a kitchen team of up to 12 people.
• Works with local & national suppliers for best pricing.
• Reports weekly to Directors on kitchen performance (COGs & wages).
• Follows standards set by People Like Us for best practices.
• Be fluent in English.
