Job summary

Greater Wellington Regional Council – Wellington Central, North Island is seeking a Senior Contracts Advisor for Metlink to provide expert contract management across Bus, Rail and Ferry Operator agreements. You will advise stakeholders, develop processes, manage documentation and reduce commercial risk, while aligning with GWRC policies.

You will work with project teams, GWRC Legal and Procurement, ensuring timely responses, renewals and compliant contract variations, reporting on performance

Qualifications

Excellent commercial acumen and nous with experience in high-value, complex contracts.
Ability to build cross-functional relationships and provide contract advice in a local government context.
Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail with pragmatic problem-solving.

Responsibilities

Provide subject-matter expert contract advice for Metlink contracts (Bus/Rail/Ferry) and escalate issues as needed.
Oversee contract documentation, filing, archiving and accessibility across contracts.
Develop and implement contract management processes and tools to improve practice and compliance.
