Job summary

AECOM's Contaminated Land team in Hamilton is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to apply and expand your technical and consulting skills across diverse projects, from transport alliances to site investigations. Qualifications

• Ideally 5+ years in contaminated land management, environmental site assessments (PSI/DSI) and/or remediation projects.
• High competency field skills including sampling and monitoring of soil, groundwater, surface water, and vapours/gas.
• Ability to plan and prepare deliverables to a high standard.
• Ability to transition between large multi-disciplinary projects and smaller single-issue commissions.
• A can-do attitude and willingness to get out of comfort zone.
• Collaborative, proactive and team-based mindset.
• Willingness to travel across New Zealand with a valid full driving licence.
• Experience using Excel and ArcGIS/Pro-UCL.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage field investigations and technical reporting.
• Participate in fieldwork and lead by example in the collection of environmental data.
• Prepare technical reports and other project deliverables to a high standard.
• Input to proposals and bids for large and small projects.
• Work with clients to build relationships and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to a high performing team.
• Support project delivery and management.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues.
