Job description

Join our growing team of consultants as a Data Engineer, based in Wellington or Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful projects where data is at the heart of transformation. As a consultant at Tenzing, you’ll be part of a collaborative project team, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of cloud data-centric solutions. You’ll gain exposure to a variety of technologies and industries, while building your expertise and growing your consulting capabilities.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering. Industry experience in banking or utilities is highly desirable.
  • Proven hands-on experience with modern data platforms and tools, such as: Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, AWS, DBT, GIT and Python or other cloud data-centric technologies.
  • A strong foundation in data engineering principles and practices including exposure to DevOps.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused mindset
  • Someone looking to grow into team and project technical leadership roles

We are looking to appoint between $110,000 - $125,000 per annum, for this role, depending on relevant skills and experience.
