Job summary

The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is seeking a senior communications professional to support Immigration New Zealand (INZ) portfolio through external communications advice and services. You will provide high-quality support to Ministers’ offices, handle media inquiries, and draft communications plans in a fast-paced environment.

Ideally you have around five years’ experience delivering communications strategies and stakeholder materials.

Qualifications

• manage our media relationships
• write engaging content for a range of channels and stakeholders
• work with our fantastic multi-media, marketing, design and digital channel gurus to create meaningful content that reaches the right people
• build strong networks with senior managers across MBIE, as well as our staff and key internal and external stakeholders
• know about Government decision-making and operating procedures.
• be proactive, positive, bring great ideas to the table, have sound judgement and discretion
• manage competing priorities in a way that makes all our interactions valued
