We’re looking for an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to help shape a secure, resilient, and future-focused cloud environment. This permanent Wellington-based senior technical role combines cloud engineering, platform operations, automation, security, and technical leadership across Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, and related cloud services. Working closely with security, architecture, and operational teams, you’ll contribute to strategic initiatives while providing hands‑on technical expertise across our cloud platforms. This is an opportunity to influence technology that supports a modern, cloud‑first organisation. You’ll help evolve Stats NZ’s Microsoft cloud environment and contribute to practical, secure, and well‑governed services that make a difference. This role is best suited to an engineer with significant experience across Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, security, and cloud platform services.
We highly value demonstrated competency in mātauranga Māori, tikanga, and Te Tiriti o Waitangi application in a workplace setting. Starting salary for this position:$97,270-$131,601+kiwisaver
