Overview

Senior Civil Engineer, Waihōpai Invercargill, Southland Region. WSP offers opportunities to grow, with a work environment that supports balance, inclusivity, and a varied workload. The Southland team is focused on engineering opportunities and community impact, including water engineering. The preferred candidate should be based in Invercargill or willing to relocate.

The role involves guiding projects from planning through design and delivery, influencing technical direction, and contributing to multi-disciplinary design management with support from the Invercargill team and wider WSP network.

Responsibilities

As a senior member of the team, you will:

  • Influence the technical direction of projects from planning through to design, design management, and delivery.
  • Support water engineering and other multi-disciplinary project components as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the technical development of engineering projects within the local Infrastructure team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Invercargill team and the broader WSP network to deliver high-quality outcomes.
About you
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • Preferably a minimum of 8 years’ professional experience.
  • Experience working on projects in New Zealand/Aotearoa advantageous.
  • Achieved or actively working toward Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or equivalent.
  • Current, clean driver’s license.
