Senior Civil Engineer, Waihōpai Invercargill

The Southland Region continues to have strong engineering opportunities and is leading New Zealand’s economic recovery. The Waihōpai Invercargill team have a fantastic opportunity for a highly capable Senior Civil Engineer to support our local Infrastructure team in the technical development of engineering projects, including water engineering.

As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to influence the technical direction of projects, from planning through to design/design management and delivery. Ideally, you’ll have a broad background including exposure to water projects, however we are open to speaking with engineers who have specialised in multiple areas.

Please note that the preferred candidate needs to be either based in Invercargill currently or willing to relocate.

About you:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Preferably a minimum of 8 years’ professional experience
• Experience working on projects in New Zealand/Aotearoa advantageous.
• Achieved or actively working toward Chartered Professional Engineering (CPEng) status or equivalent.
• Current, clean drivers license.
