About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and play a pivotal role in elevating the quality and consistency of owner-side investment business cases. In this position you will serve as a coach and advisor to the capital projects managers, providing guidance and expertise on the development of robust business cases. By using structured review techniques you'll ensure every proposal aligns with our Co-op standards and delivers clear, strategic value. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining high standards in business case development, a vital function as the Co-op builds and implements a robust Independent Project Peer Review Process. This is a fixed term opportunity until September 2026 and can be based in either Auckland or Hamilton.

About You

You will have a passion for improving outcomes through collaboration, mentoring and structured problem-solving, and thrive in a setting that promotes continuous improvement.

Key Skills And Experience
  • Project Management, Commercial or Financial qualification.
  • Proven experience with developing business cases that align with strategic, financial or operational standards.
  • Ability to coach and mentor colleagues to upskill them to produce high quality business cases.
  • The ability to complete analytical reviews of business cases to ensure clarity.
  • A strong understanding of project design, costing and contingency planning.
  • Previous experience with Fonterra systems such as eCapex, Ari, with the ability to resolve technical accounting issues and coach others.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management ability to enable you to foster collaboration and influence at all organisational levels.
