Job summary

SYOS Aerospace is seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join our engineering team to develop software for autonomous vehicle systems. You will own modules across the full software lifecycle and collaborate with mechanical, electrical and controls teams.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in C++ within robotics or real‑time systems, Linux proficiency, and experience with Git, ROS, Python and Docker. The role offers a collaborative environment with real impact on our autonomous platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of commercial C++ software development experience.
• Experience in robotics, aerospace or real-time software desirable.
• Strong OOP, data structures and software design principles.
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• Experience developing in Linux; Python/ROS or embedded systems.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and Docker.

About You

You’ll ideally bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3 –5 years of commercial C++ software development experience.
• Experience in robotics, aerospace, autonomous or real‑time software systems desirable.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, data structures and software design principles.
• Experience using Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• A genuine interest in robotics, autonomous systems and emerging technologies.
• Experience developing in a Linux environment.
• Experience with Python, ROS (Robot Operating System) or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing or Docker.
