Senior Business Director - TWO POSITIONS
We have two Senior Business Director opportunities available - one is a permanent role working with an exciting new client, and the second opportunity is a 12-month maternity cover position working with one of our established, iconic clients.
Role Summary
The Senior Business Director leads high-level client engagements, providing strategic direction, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional work. They bring deep expertise in account leadership, growth, and collaboration — inspiring internal teams and driving long-term client success.
Leadership
- Provides top level leadership and supervision over the running of the account. Either supports the Group Business Director or General Manager or where assigned, leads a specific account
- Nurtures relationships with senior client stakeholders up to General Manager level by delivering consistent value and solutions
- Leads from the front, motivating each member of a project team to ensure the best possible outcome for agency and client
- Provides strategic guidance and oversight across all client engagements, ensuring alignment and trust
- Delegates work to junior team members, monitors their work, provides support and direction
Account Strategy and Growth
- Have an in depth knowledge of - and be able to discuss - the client’s business, the market it operates in (including competitors, regulation and products). Able to make decisions and spot opportunities based on this knowledge
- Make recommendations based on an understanding of the long-term strategy, plans and tactics of the client.
- Translate business insights to identify new areas for growth within existing accounts
- Assist in development of client dashboards and annual forecasts for their accounts (lead where appropriate)
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand project and scope, driving incremental revenue growth
- Provides monthly billing projections and proactively sharing updates as needed
- Makes certain that projects within the account (both ones they are leading and those that juniors are leading) are handled profitably, manages upwards with any issues
Collaboration
- Inspire, lead and champion collaboration, constantly looking for opportunities for the agency and its business units, embodying ‘one Bastion Shine and a seamless coordination of effort
- Partner with internal teams and client partners (eg media) to create and execute high-impact, integrated campaigns
- Promote a culture of mutual respect, trust, and shared accountability within the agency
