The Role
As a Senior BAS Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing a diverse client portfolio, delivering expert tax planning, compliance, and business advisory services. You'll take ownership of client relationships, oversee core compliance work, and provide strategic financial guidance. Additionally, you'll mentor junior staff, contributing to a strong team culture and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes across the board.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a varied client portfolio, delivering comprehensive BAS services
Oversee preparation and review of financial statements, GST, and income tax returns
Deliver tailored tax advice and strategic business insights
Mentor and support junior team members, encouraging growth and best practice
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and industry trends
About You
CA or CPA qualified
4-5+ years of public practice experience, ideally in a BAS-focused role
Strong technical grounding in tax, compliance, and advisory
Confident managing client relationships and leading junior staff
Proficient in cloud-based accounting platforms, particularly Xero and MYOB
