DotGolf, an international golf technology company, is seeking multiple Senior Backend Integration Developers for a 9-12 month fixed-term mobile app project in Auckland, NZ. Qualifications

• Strong expertise in C# / .NET.
• Experience designing and building secure, performant RESTful APIs using JWT for authentication/authorisation.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools to design, build, test and optimize high-quality software.
• Good knowledge of Git for version control and collaboration.
• Excellent relational database knowledge with SQL Server and DB schema design.
• Experience delivering cloud software at scale on AWS.
• Strong communication in cross-functional global teams; Agile/Shape Up approaches beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, scalable backend systems that support a new mobile app.
• Collaborate with product teams, UI specialists, and frontend developers under a Project Manager.
• Contribute to architecture, system design and refactoring of complex integrations.
• Maximise AI tooling to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.

We are seeking multiple Senior Backend Integration Developers to work on a 9 - 12 month fixed-term Mobile App project. This role is primarily focused on the API backend and the data that supports the project, including integrating with existing live systems.

Key Role Responsibilities

Develop secure, scalable, highly performant backend systems that link with various frontend feature sets for a new mobile app.

Collaborate closely with product teams, UI specialists, and frontend mobile app developers, under the guidance of a Project Manager in a business unit assembled for success.

Contribute to architecture, system design and refactoring of complex system integrations.

Maximise the AI tooling available to develop with speed and efficiency, while maintaining strong code quality.

Communicate across internal and external teams to gather and translate requirements and deliver exceptional solutions.

Skills and Experience

Strong expertise in C# / .NET.

Experience designing and building secure and performant RESTful APIs in JSON format, using JWT for authentication/authorisation.

Proficiency in leveraging modern AI-assisted development tools to design, build, review, test, and optimize high-quality software efficiently.

Good knowledge of Git for project version control.

Excellent knowledge of relational databases and query syntax using SQL Server (or equivalent), and familiar with DB schema design.

Solid understanding of designing secure and scalable systems, with a performance and reliability mindset.

Experience developing cloud software at scale on AWS.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional global teams.

Any experience with delivery of mobile applications will be advantageous but not essential.

Experience with Shape Up delivery methodology an advantage (or equivalent e.g., Agile).

Experience/familiar with using Jira/Confluence and other project management tools.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions and/or Jenkins.

Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes that balance technical and business goals.

Knowledge of the game of golf is an advantage, but not essential.
