Fusion5 in New Zealand is seeking a Senior Integration Developer to lead hands-on Azure-focused integration design across Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch. You will shape patterns, define standards, and translate business needs into robust technical designs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and implementing integration solutions, preferably Azure-focused.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure services listed in the role.
• Knowledge of integration patterns and API-led architectures.
• Experience building APIs/integrations using REST; SOAP/GraphQL/Webhooks exposure.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js and/or .NET with robust testing and quality practices.
• IaC with Terraform/Bicep/ARM and CI/CD for integration workloads.
• Security focus: OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, least privilege, threat-aware design.
• Observability mindset: logging/monitoring/tracing with Azure Monitor or similar.
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own solution design for assigned workstreams; define integration patterns and standards.
• Build and deploy integrations using Azure services and APIs to enable reliable data exchange.
• Lead end-to-end delivery lifecycle from design to production support.
• Create artefacts: high-level and detailed designs, contracts, runbooks, templates.
• Support and optimise integrations in production, improving performance and resilience.
• Mentor developers and uplift engineering practices, staying current with integration tech.
