Job summary

AllRecruits is seeking a Senior Automation Systems Engineer in Christchurch with 5+ years in PLC/HMI/SCADA programming. You will lead client projects in dairy/food manufacturing, guiding internal teams and acting as the local point person on site.

You will drive process improvements through automation, and manage design, development, commissioning and maintenance of systems across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience delivering PLC/HMI/SCADA projects.
• Degree in Mechatronics or related field preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead client projects and internal teams on automation solutions.
• Design, develop, deploy and support PLC/HMI/SCADA systems.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across design, development and commissioning.
• Build strong relationships with client personnel on site.
