About Department and Purpose of the Position

Seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Assistant Manager / Manager to join the Corporate Planning & Development (Corporate Strategies) team.

Reporting to the Head, Corporate Strategies Section, this role will be instrumental in driving NUH's corporate planning processes, strategic performance management, and key corporate initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the hospital's long-term direction and ensuring alignment with our mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Development
    • Lead the development and refinement of NUH's short and long-term corporate goals, directions and plans
    • Establish and oversee clear metrics, milestones, and accountability frameworks for all organizational levels
    • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis, including publicly available information, to inform strategic decision-making
    • Facilitate the cascade of strategic directions across departments
  • Strategic Performance Reporting
    • Oversee the tracking, analysis, and communication of organizational performance against strategic goals and KPIs
    • Lead the preparation of comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management reviews
    • Collaborate with the data team for in-depth analysis of performance data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Key Corporate Planning Cycles
    • Manage the annual Institution-wide Workplan Cycle, including strategic focus setting, stakeholder coordination, material preparation, recording, and follow-up on high-priority initiatives
    • Support the end-to-end organization and execution of the Senior Management Retreat, including program and content development, facilitation of pre-retreat preparation, stakeholder engagement, and cascading of strategic directions post-retreat
  • Corporate Governance
    • Drive the completion and review of Capital Expenditure Post-Implementation Reviews
    • Oversee the management of new thematic units and clinical services, including policy updates and application reviews
  • Others
    • Collaborate with clinical leads to support development of clinical services strategy, priorities and plans
    • Support special projects such as hospital strategy papers and pilot initiatives
    • Any other relevant duties as assigned by Reporting Officer
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or Sciences, Public Health policy or Strategy related fields
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience; healthcare experience is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills to translate complex information into actionable insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present concepts and data effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proactive attitude with capability to work collaboratively across departments
