This is a hybrid position. This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Aotearoa. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and coordinating audits with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues, ensuring audits are executed in compliance with policies and protocols.
  • Executing audit processes with an understanding of an entity’s operating environment.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of audit technical skills, audit methodology and audit documentation standards.
  • Experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
  • Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits.
  • A degree and/or progress towards/completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Experience in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a project, with particular emphasis on time management and communication.
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing value added recommendations.
