Job summary

PwC New Zealand in Auckland is seeking a Senior Associate or Manager to join our Audit of Tax team. You will review tax calculations, disclosures and engage with clients on complex tax and reporting issues.

You will lead and coach junior staff, manage multiple engagements, apply professional judgement, and leverage AI-enabled workflows to deliver high‑quality outcomes. This role offers growth, flexible working options and strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years professional services in audit/tax/ accounting
• CA-qualified or working towards CA, legal qualifications considered for tax
• Research technical issues, analyse information, apply sound judgement
• Clear and confident client communication with assurance teams
• Organise and progress multiple client jobs concurrently
• Adaptable, collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity
• Coaching/review/leadership experience, especially at Manager level
• Comfortable using technology and AI-enabled tools

Responsibilities

• Review tax calculations and financial statement disclosures
• Manage several AoT clearances and client engagements at different stages
• Research technical tax and accounting matters and apply judgement
• Build relationships with assurance teams and discuss issues with clients
• Coach and develop junior team members and review deliverables
• Use AI-enabled tools to improve delivery of work
