Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Architect to join a prominent architectural and urban design firm in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will design civic buildings, develop master plans, and deliver construction documents while engaging with municipal bodies and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in Architecture, SACAP registration, and 5–7 years of public project experience, with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture is required.
• Professional registration with SACAP is required.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in architectural practice, with focus on public/community projects.
• Demonstrated portfolio of civic, educational, or public facility designs.
• Proficiency in architectural design and drafting software (Revit, AutoCAD).
• Good understanding of South African building regulations and standards.
• Experience working with government clients or on public tenders is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for community infrastructure and public building projects.
• Develop conceptual designs, master plans, and detailed construction documents.
• Engage with clients, including municipal bodies and community representatives, throughout the design process.
