Job summary

Datacom in New Zealand's cybersecurity team is seeking a Senior AppSec Cybersecurity Consultant to lead application security initiatives across clients. You will shape services, mentor teams, and collaborate with customers and vendors to deliver secure software and resilient architectures.

A passion for emerging technologies and a track record in DevSecOps and OWASP will help you thrive in a fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 5+ years in application security.
• Experience leading or developing a security team.
• Proven ability to engage with diverse customers.
• Familiar with DevSecOps and OWASP best practices.
• Certifications or conference presentations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote service excellence and future sustainability in security delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams, wider business, and customers.
• Foster vendor relationships to support app security services.
• Drive planning, development, and implementation of AppSec offerings.
