Job summary

The Warehouse Group in Auckland is seeking an experienced Android developer to design, build and support native Android apps across The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery and Noel Leeming brands. You will collaborate with designers, engineers and business partners to ensure secure, scalable and maintainable solutions.

You’ll contribute to architectural decisions, drive quality through testing and CI/CD, and mentor teammates while delivering features that enhance the customer experience across

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Android development (Java/Kotlin).
• Experience collaborating with UX designers and engineers.
• Ability to design, build and maintain native Android apps.
• Experience with tests: unit/UI testing and static analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight within a small development team, including code reviews and mentoring.
• Design and develop high-quality native Android applications.
• Collaborate with UX designers, engineers and stakeholders to deliver new features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
• Maintain and improve existing applications.
• Champion testing, CI/CD and documentation practices.
