You'll apply the Financial Market Infrastructures Act 2021 and FMI standards, lead analytical reviews, and test how well these organisations are managing resilience, governance and strategic risks. You'll also work closely with the Financial Markets Authority as joint supervisor of FMI, and help shape policy thinking within the RBNZ as technology, products, cyber risks and geopolitical pressures continue to evolve.

  • Experience using frameworks and procedures to assess risks, develop options, and recommend preferred approaches.

  • Knowledge of financial markets, trading or payments, and/or experience in supervision, regulatory, financial system or developing qualitative and quantitative analysis.

  • A strong delivery focus, with the ability to manage priorities, meet agreed timeframes and ensure outputs achieve the desired results.

  • Confidence engaging constructively with regulated entities, including at management, executive and board level.

  • A collaborative, one-team mindset, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and with the Financial Markets Authority who is our joint regulator.
