Job summary

The New Zealand Government's Department of Internal Affairs, Regulatory and Identity Services, is seeking a Senior Principal Advisor to provide thought leadership on AML/CFT across complex financial institutions. You will drive on-site inspections, thematic reviews and desk-based work, shaping supervisory approaches and advising senior stakeholders across government and industry.

Qualifications

Deep AML/CFT expertise with experience across complex financial institutions and knowledge of FATF methods.
Experience assessing AML/CFT compliance and providing senior-level guidance within regulatory systems.
Ability to lead complex supervisory activity including on-site inspections and desk reviews.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to see wider system implications and provide evidence-informed advice.
Credible with senior stakeholders across government, industry and AML/CFT networks.

Responsibilities

Provide expert AML/CFT guidance to financial institutions and senior leadership.
