Job summary

BNZ is hiring a Security Specialist in Auckland for a hybrid role requiring three days in the office (Mon, Tue, Thu). You will create and optimise SIEM/EDR detection rules, model threats, and develop automation playbooks to enhance cyber resilience and incident response.

Join BNZ’s cyber defence team to design, implement and refine SIEM/SOAR tooling, dashboards and reports within a collaborative, growth‑minded environment focused on protecting customers and data.

Qualifications

• Create and optimise detection rules in SIEM/EDR platforms.
• Perform threat modelling to identify potential attack vectors.
• Develop and refine correlation rules and automation playbooks.
• Develop, refine, and maintain SIEM and SOAR tooling, including processes, workflows, alerts, dashboards and reports.
