Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern is seeking a Security Relationship Manager within the national Cyber Security team in Wellington. You will lead strategic engagement, influence senior leaders, and build trusted partnerships across Health NZ and external agencies to strengthen cyber resilience.

The role focuses on aligning security roadmaps with organisational objectives, advising on risks and opportunities, and guiding contracts, NDAs and MoUs.

Qualifications

• Senior-level relationship leadership with cybersecurity context.
• Experience developing strategic plans and roadmaps aligned with org objectives.
• Proven track record managing customer, partner and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience with service delivery lifecycles, contracts, MoUs and NDAs.
• Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.
• Excellent influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate cybersecurity concepts for executive audiences.
• Experience across diverse stakeholders and organizational contexts.
• Strong planning, organisation and time management.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
• Experience in New Zealand health sector preferred; Te Tiriti o Waitangi understanding desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic engagement for assigned sector and build trusted relationships.
• Align cyber security roadmaps with organisational objectives.
• Collaborate with security and technical teams to address requirements.
• Support partnership agreements, NDAs and service arrangements.
• Provide insights into threats and technologies affecting the health sector.
• Oversee key work ensuring quality advice across Cyber Security function.
• Engage with external partners and government agencies to strengthen cyber security across Health NZ.
