Job description

Tokomairiro High School is seeking a passionate, adaptable teacher to join our team from January 2026. While secondary-trained teachers are preferred, primary-trained teachers who are confident teaching Year 9 and 10 are also encouraged to apply. Applicants will need to hold a current New Zealand teaching registration.

Strengths in senior science, mathematics, or digital technology would be an advantage, but we welcome applications from teachers across learning areas. Please state clearly in your application which subjects you are able to teach.

We may be small in size, but our aspirations are anything but. Our ākonga are at the heart of everything we do, and we take pride in the strong, positive relationships we build with our students and their whānau. We are looking for a teacher who can create engaging, challenging programmes that inspire learners, while living our values of whakaute, haepapa, and hiringa.
