Do you want to teach students from a Biblical perspective enabling them, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to serve God and society?
Due to one of our teachers moving overseas, we have the exciting opportunity for you to work at Ponatahi Christian School as a secondary Science/Maths teacher. We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Christian teacher who can teach senior sciences (one or more of biology, chemistry and physics) and/or maths up to Level 3 (Y13). There is flexibility in what the role could include (even with the potential of other subjects), so don’t hesitate to contact us and discuss the options.
This is a tagged position, meaning that subscription to our Statement of Faith and being willing and able to uphold and teach our Special Character are conditions of employment.
This is a full-time permanent position that begins at the start of the 2026 school year.
We offer a supportive teaching and learning environment where staff are respected and supported, professional development is facilitated, and collaborative practices are expected.
The terms and conditions, including base salary, for these positions are set by the New Zealand Area Schools' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers is dependent on the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
