Job summary

Aporo Orchards in Tasman Village, Nelson, is seeking a hard-working team member to join our family-run farm. Responsibilities include operating trucks, lifting and handling orchard gear, and contributing to daily orchard tasks.

The role runs as a fixed-term contract from late January 2027 to mid-May 2027, with hours ranging from 10 to 40 per week, Monday to Friday, and optional Saturday work by negotiation. Shortlisted candidates will be notified by 3 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Full licence, Class 5 required.
• Experience in driving trucks is essential.
• Drug-free workplace.
• Physically capable of manual handling - lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling orchard equipment and materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as listed for the orchard team.
• Operate trucks as needed for orchard operations.
• Assist with general orchard duties and maintain safety practices.
