Job summary

Deseret Book Company is seeking a customer-focused team member in Southland, NZ. You will engage customers in-person and by phone, process transactions, and help locate and gift-wrap items.

The role also involves maintaining an attractive store layout and stocking merchandise for a smooth shopping experience. Flexible shifts including days, evenings, and Saturdays ensure coverage through the holiday season, with attention to exceptional service and product knowledge to drive sales and customer

• Ability to interact with customers in-person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis.

• Exhibit exceptional, world-class sales and customer service skills by selling Deseret Book products and services.
• Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, imprinting, and gift-wrapping
• Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation
• Various shifts including days, evenings, and Saturdays

Required Skills

• Ability to interact with customers in-person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis is an essential function of this position

• Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)

• Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift 35-50 lbs.
