Job Summary

Prepare and cook food according to specifications for our guests' enjoyment. Support the company's mission, vision, and values by providing unique fun and games, and adhere to the Canterbury Way by focusing on our core values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead by example.
  • Maintain high hospitality standards and a positive, professional demeanor.
  • Create high morale, foster teamwork, inspire collaboration, and suggest growth opportunities to management.
  • Operate ovens, grills, fryers, and other equipment.
  • Monitor food for rotation, freshness, and safety.
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness, including equipment cleaning and general tasks like wiping tables and sweeping floors.
  • Establish par levels each shift to determine necessary prep.
  • Assist in developing prep lists, recipes, and specifications for staff.
  • Handle banquet, bulk, and a la carte menu preparations, hot and cold.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages.
  • May cook in front of guests for banquets, ensuring uniforms and stations are clean and presentable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum of 1 year culinary experience with fish/meat fabrication.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and dependable.
  • Able to multitask with attention to detail.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and work verification.
  • Ability to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission license.
Working Conditions and General Requirements

The physical demands include frequent standing and walking, lifting 30-50 pounds, and working in a fast-paced environment with high temperatures and noise. Proficiency with knives and teamwork are essential. Flexibility for work days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
