Join the 45 South harvest team for the 2025/26 cherry season in vibrant Cromwell, Central Otago – New Zealand’s cherry capital! 45 South Management Ltd, one of New Zealand’s leading cherry exporters, is seeking 150+ enthusiastic cherry pickers to start in late December 2025 and early January 2026.

Cherry Picker Responsibilities

• Hand-pick ripe cherries to meet strict quality standards
• Fill buckets efficiently and accurately
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols
• Work diligently to meet daily targets while maintaining fruit quality

Requirements

• Valid NZ Work Visa (we are unable to offer sponsorship)
• Physically capable of climbing ladders, bending, and lifting
• Experience with ladders or fruit picking (cherry picking experience a plus)
• Reliable, motivated, and committed to completing the full harvest season
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Compliance with health, safety, and orchard policies

Working Conditions

• Outdoor work in varying summer weather (we cannot pick during rain)
• Early morning shifts, leaving late afternoons free to enjoy Central Otago’s summer
• Closed-toe shoes and sun-protective clothing required
