Scale A teacher – recent junior experience. Full time, Fixed term. Start Date: 02/02/2026, End Date: 15/12/2026 (To cover study leave in 2026). Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher.

English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts.

We are seeking a professional and enthusiastic junior teacher to join our team in a fixed term position starting Monday 2 February, 2026. This role is focused on teaching our Y2 and Y3 learners, and we place high value on ensuring a supportive and positive learning relationship for both our students and their whānau.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and support learners in Years 2 and 3 with a focus on building positive learning relationships.
  • Plan, implement and assess programmes that cater for the individual learning needs of all students (differentiation).
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support classroom practice and student outcomes.
Qualifications and experience
  • Must have NZ teacher registration and a current practising certificate.
  • Experience with or knowledge of the structured literacy programme (BSLA) and the structured numeracy programmes (Numicon).
  • Experience with using te reo Māori across the curriculum.
  • Pedagogical strengths in literacy and numeracy.
  • Successful experience working with students who have diverse learning needs.
