Job summary

A supportive rural school in Waikato is seeking a full-time, permanent teacher for the new entrant to Years 2-3. The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of both traditional and inquiry-based philosophies, with required experience in B.S.L.A structured literacy. This role offers an opportunity to engage young learners in a collaborative and unique curriculum, starting at the beginning of term 1, 2026.

Hikuai School has a full-time, permanent vacancy for our new entrant to Y2–3 classroom.

Would you like to work in a vibrant, rural environment that is supportive, and community focussed? Are you energetic, creative and collaborative? We are looking for someone who will join our team of 2 teachers and engage our youngest learners at the start of their education journey with a curriculum that is unique, well researched and prepares children ready to take on the world.

Key elements for this class are a sound knowledge and experience of both traditional, play based philosophy and inquiry based learning. Experience with B.S.L.A structured literacy approach is a requirement.
