Job summary

David Street School invites an experienced Kaiako to join our warm, whānau‑focussed centre in Waikato. We’re seeking an ECE qualified and registered teacher with a current NZ practising certificate.

This permanent, full‑time role offers full pay parity, ongoing professional development, leadership opportunities, and strong partnerships with families while supporting tamariki learning and development.

Qualifications

• ECE qualified and registered Teacher with a current NZ provisional or full practising certificate.
• Residency in NZ or valid NZ work visa is required.
• Experience teaching in a kaiako role within NZ early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun-filled learning experiences aligned with the local curriculum.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and whānau to support tamariki.
• Provide respectful care and nurture tamariki development and wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

The Role:

Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday

ECE qualified and registered Teacher with a current NZ provisional or full practising certificate

NZ residency or valid NZ work visa required
