Manawaru School is a rural school between Matamata and Te Aroha. We are a full primary with 4 classes, well supported by our community. Our school is a place where every learner is valued. Our newest team member will be an enthusiastic, innovative classroom teacher, with a commitment to Trauma Informed Practice. They will be responsive to the adventures a rural school provides, with an ability to work collaboratively, a commitment to learning and developing positive relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver classroom teaching for students in Years 1–8 within a rural full primary setting.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Trauma Informed Practice and positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and engage in professional learning to support student learning and wellbeing.
Qualifications
  • Certificated teacher (primary) with eligibility to teach in New Zealand.
  • Ability to teach English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts.
  • Willingness to work in a rural school environment and contribute to a diverse, inclusive learning community.
