A contributing rural school in North Canterbury seeks a certificated teacher for primary and intermediate levels (Years 1-8) starting in Term 1, 2026. Our school is in an idyllic setting, we have a great team of teachers, support staff, engaged students, supportive whānau and we are led by a proactive Board.

A schoolhouse is available and Waiau Village is in close proximity to ski fields, the majestic Waiau Uwha River, Hanmer Springs and the great outdoors.

Our classes are single-cell spaces but we place high value on collaborative practice and an ability to work across our school is essential. Valuing and actively developing positive relationships with students and their whānau, staff and the wider community is of importance.

We are seeking a New Zealand registered educator who will be reflective of their own practice and be open to further learn, grow and succeed personally and professionally.
