Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

We are looking for a positive, passionate and caring teacher to join our Whanake (Y1 and 2) team. At Maungawhau School, we are passionate about creating and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for our ākonga to thrive in. Teachers are highly professional and supportive, work collaboratively in highly effective teams, and have high expectations of their students. The successful applicant will teach a Y1 or 2 class. A suitable applicant for this position must have a strong grasp of the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum, with particular expertise in effective teaching methods and subject knowledge in maths and literacy. They must understand how children learn and be skilled at accommodating the diverse needs of all students. This position commences at the start of 2026.
