Overview

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

Subjects include English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts. We are seeking an enthusiastic and fluent speaker of Te Reo Māori to join Te Whānau Moko, our Māori Bilingual Unit.

This is a permanent position that commences in term 2. There is also possible bilingual leadership opportunity with this position.

Responsibilities
  • Teach in the middle years within Te Whānau Moko, our Māori Bilingual Unit.
  • Build strong relationships with ākonga (students), whānau and staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and demonstrate sound behaviour management.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Fluent in Te Reo Māori and confident in tikanga Māori.
  • Experience or ability to work within a Māori bilingual education setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff and engage with ākonga and whānau.
