Pankhurst Sawmilling 2015 Limited – Riverton, South Island

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sawmill Laborer to join our team at Pankhurst Sawmilling 2015 Limited in Riverton, Southland. This is a full-time position that will involve supporting the operations of our busy sawmill. As a Sawmill Laborer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe production of timber products.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with the loading and unloading of timber and materials onto and off production equipment
• Supporting the operation of saw equipment and other machinery to process timber
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment by performing general housekeeping duties
• Adhering to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborating with the production team to meet daily output targets
• Reporting any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisors

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a sawmill or timber processing facility
• Familiarity with the operation of sawmill equipment and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely
• Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
• Commitment to safety and a willingness to adhere to all safety protocols
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
