About the role

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales and building strong relationships with customers in your local area.

The position available:

This is a full-time role; Monday – Friday with rostered Saturday mornings. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales and building strong relationships with customers in your local area.

What you'll be doing

• Prospecting and identifying new sales opportunities
• Engaging with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services
• Preparing and presenting sales proposals and pitches
• Providing excellent customer service and after-sales support
• Gathering market intelligence and reporting on industry trends
• Ensure customer satisfaction

• Proven track record of success in a sales or customer-facing role, preferably within the sales industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in using sales-related software and tools

• A history that demonstrates knowledge in the field of Engineering, Automotive, or related trades is an advantage.
• You will have strong relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers, and your fellow work colleagues. You will have a proven history with the ability to follow up on leads, responding to customers, successfully closing sales, and consulting with suppliers. You will be able to work in a team environment, have good computer skills and be able to communicate well.
• Applicants must have a good level of health and fitness, hold a full NZ Drivers Licence with a clean history, and be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
