Job description

Your Impact

As a Sales Representative in Hawke’s Bay, you’ll manage a broad beverage portfolio across both grocery and route channels – covering everything from supermarkets to cafes, dairies and other local businesses. This is a varied, customer-facing territory sales role with a strong focus on relationship-building, execution, and growing distribution across a full FMCG range, including Charlie’s, Phoenix, Lipton, and Asahi Beverages’ alcohol portfolio.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio across grocery (New World, PAK'nSAVE, Woolworths) and route trade (cafes, dairies, etc.)
  • Sell in SKUs and ensure promotional compliance in grocery accounts
  • Build strong trade relationships and generate orders in-route (orders are taken manually at each visit)
  • Execute product displays, fridges, and planograms across the territory
  • Cover territory from Gisborne to Waipukurau
  • Collaborate closely with the local ASM and a part-time merchandiser
  • Contribute to team efforts during busy periods (relays, seasonal drives, etc.)
  • Achieve KPIs focused on sales, market share, and NPD performance

About You

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
  • Sales experience (FMCG, grocery, or route) is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Customer service background candidates with a growth mindset encouraged to apply
  • Must be comfortable working autonomously and managing a large territory
  • Team player with great relationship management skills
