Technical Engineering Group – Hamilton, North Island
Initially, you will work alongside our experienced engineering team, learning TEG Risk's methodologies, tools and delivery standards while contributing to existing projects. As your experience develops, you will take ownership of projects in the areas relevant to you and your skillset and career trajectory including machine risk assessments, functional safety assessments, process safety and risk management studies, safety design reviews and specifications, safeguarding and risk reduction projects, engineering standards compliance, and industrial safety improvement programmes. The variety of industries, equipment and processes encountered ensures a technically challenging and rewarding career path.

About you
- A degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Process, Chemical, Industrial or similar)
- A trade qualified practitioner may be acceptable if you can demonstrate you are operating at a suitably high professional standard
- Experience applying engineering risk management principles within industrial environments
- Excellent communication and technical report writing skills
- A structured, process-driven approach to problem solving
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- TÜV Functional Safety certification (Machinery, Process Industry or equivalent) - highly regarded
- Experience in machine safety, safeguarding or machinery compliance - highly regarded
- Experience in process safety, HAZOPs, LOPAs or major hazard risk management - highly regarded
- Experience with functional safety systems, safety PLCs or SIS design - highly regarded
